W. BLAIR WALTRIP

W. Blair Waltrip serves as the treasurer on the National Museum of Funeral History board of directors. He is currently an independent consultant of family & trust investments for Service Corporation International. Waltrip held various positions with SCI from 1977 to 2000, including serving as vice president of corporate development, senior vice president of funeral operations, executive vice president of SCI’s real estate division, Chairman and CEO of Service Corporation International (Canada) Limited (a subsidiary taken public on The Toronto Stock Exchange) and Executive Vice President of SCI.

Waltrip’s experience has provided him with knowledge of almost all aspects of the company and its industry with specific expertise in North American funeral/cemetery operations and real estate management. Since leaving SCI in 2000, Waltrip has been an independent investor, primarily engaged in overseeing family and trust investments. Waltrip is the son of SCI’s founder, R. L. Waltrip.
