DONATE ARTIFACTS
Many of the pieces displayed today at the National Museum of Funeral History were donated by individuals, families and companies—from singular items found in a relative’s attic to vast collections amassed by generations of funeral directors. The Museum is happy to consider and frequently accepts items of historical significance to enhance its collection. If you have an item you would like to donate, please email us photos along with a brief description of the item, including any known details of the item’s history, origin and significance, such as year made, presence at historical events, materials involved, previous owners, locations used, years in use, years in storage, etc. Please email item description and several photos with “Artifact to Donate” in the subject line to contact@nmfh.org. After sending an email with information and images, please allow the Museum at least 30 days to respond. If you don’t hear from us in that amount of time, please feel free to resubmit your inquiry. If your donation request is time-sensitive, please be sure to let us know in your email so that we can do our best to be responsive and respectful of your deadline.
